Sr Financial Planning Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and decision support related to the planning, forecasting and performance management of the US business. The role is highly visible and will provide information to senior management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings, along with recommendations. The SFA will also develop various ad hoc models, processes, and reports to track key metrics, analyze and interpret data. The SFA will support senior finance leaders with the development of financial and business presentations to the Executive Leadership Team. The goal of this role is to help drive continuous improvement into faster and deeper analysis around the monthly results through the creation of better reporting tools and platforms.

 

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

 The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the Director FP&A Americas.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Preparing, analyzing and reporting financial and business information for senior leaders including the monthly Management packages
  • Work closely with business units and functional teams to gain insight into performance drivers and identify the impact of these key drivers on results and subsequent forecasts
  • Develop integrated planned/actuals analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
  • Responsible for planned/actual reporting for all department heads
  • Support of cost savings initiatives
  • Lead improvement projects to integrate ERP data into more analytical tools like Power BI

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 3-7 years of Accounting or Finance experience
  • Highly analytical, with proven ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data, develop insights and recommendations and transform them into easily understood and compelling presentations
  • Experience working on annual operating plans, strategic plans, business reviews, and cash flows
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as, ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment
  • Willing to commit to long hours of work when necessary
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced modeling capabilities and technical skills with a variety of systems, especially Excel and MS office
  • SAP preferred
  • BPC preferred
